The Development Works Of Shri Narendra Modi

Answer on Quora by :- Zubair Khan
Majority of youth is having the same dillemma but let me give you some points to judge and then you judge yourself between AK and NAMO

1. EXPERIENCE VS Dharnas

2. BE REALISTIC. AAP is not a national party. It wants to be but it isnt like TMC, BSP etc. All of them also say they will win in Kerela, MP ASSAM but do they win? No In every election BSP puts up candidates in delhi MP Maharastra etc but loses. ONLY Conngress and BJP are truly national party. Left also was national at a time when it controlled Bengal, Tripura Kerela but now it is not.

On the other hand AAP is centered to delhi and some parts of haryana (neighbouring delhi) according to all the opinion polls and political history. SO voting for AAP will be waste of vote as they wont win in national level as of now.

3. Namo's effective governance record is solid without loopholes. What does AAP have to back their claim? They got a chance but backed out in 49 days whereas NAMO have showed his metal in Gujrath for the last 12 years.

If you are against BJP and want a non BJP govt then vote for Rahul Gandhi instead but dont vote for AAP and get fooled.

I am a NAMO fan and giving some pictures to help your judgement.

This is Vadodara  bus station. more pics to follow about it.
This is the inside view. It was recently inaugurted by NaMo.

Go to google images and type " WORLD"S MOST BEAUTIFUL BUS STATION" and with many other world class bus station you u get this pic also. Thats how modi has made India proud in Every field.

Even in metros like delhi bombay we dont get clean drinking water and in tier two cities like jaipur, guwahati etc muncipalty water is not served but people buy water from private tankers (think of the condition of villages) BUT in Gujrath this village is getting FREE AQUA PURIFIED RO DRINKING WATER. The families have Biometric id cards to get the water. This is only a village in gujrath :)

Ahmedabad is the perfect example of Urban development without traffic woes and have succesfully placed itself as a metro city winning awards which even Kolkata and mumbai have missed. This was not the case 10 years ago.

This is Public Grievance System Called SWAGAT. CM meets people and solves issues then and there. With the CM is sitting all top govt officials for quick action.
public grievannce redressal via Video confrencing to villages also. This service has recieved UN best public service award in the WORLD. has the media told you about this ever?

This project is ONE OF ITS KIND IN THE WORLD. It was Namo's dream project.

This is Sabarmati river view which was developed by Namo into a world  class place which has was a boost for tourism.

Indian Congress may not approve of it but US congress has appreciated it.
Setting of Asia's Largest solar park which will reduce Pollution in India.
Modi was heavily criticised in his first term for high malnutrition in Gujrath. Look how he reduced it below India's avarage. Thats called Achievement. Thats via his policies. He made streets in villages only when villagers promised to send girls to school and it worked ;-)
NATIONAL CRIME RECORDS BUREAU has said it. Do i need to say more?
Modi is repeatedly called communal and that phrase here is a satire. See how with education and employment Modi made muslims rich in gujrat and now only 11 % muslims poor whereas 17 percent hindus still poor. Clearly he gave miniorities first priority as any good leader would do.
In every field He has made Gujrath world class and given his best. probably only politician in the country who works for results and not for votes or votebanks.
Whatever AAP and Congress are promising to do, MODI has already done that in Gujrath.

Every village in gujrath has Broadband connectivity in 2009 and conress included this in their 2009 manifesto. They will take 600 years to complete this simple promise.
This is from UNICEF website :)
There are many more success stories of NAMO which will take a book to convey so now you judge him at national level what he is capable of !

AAP is making all kinds of sounds we will do this and that but modi has done everything possible in his Drought affected, violence pronne state in the past  ten years. His river linking project has eradicated drought and farmers dont suicide now but in Maharastra every day 4 farmers suicide...
His police administration has proved hoe effective they are as because after 2002 there is not a single issue of communal violence but in UP, ASSAM, MAHARASTRA communal violence is a monthly affair.

Make the right choice :)

Who is one of the most annoying Politician in India?

I may not get a consensus here. But for me, it has to be this person. This politician annoys me THE MOST for many reasons.

  • Repeated U turns on almost every promise he made.
  • His holier than thou attitude.
  • His insistence that his political opponents come clean on his allegations every time he throws, while ducking the same when others throw them at him, is plain hypocrisy.
  • Making lame duck promises accompanied with ill-founded and vague allegations/statements every once in a while with a sole intention of scoring short term votes. Sample these:
  • His political aviation is powered by a single point agenda: Corruption. Otherwise the party is ideologically sterile. Why doesn't he come clean on issues other than corruption? What are his views on foreign policy, cross border terrorism, economic policy, naxalism, Kashmir issue, Bangladeshi infiltration, Chinese acquisition of Indian land, etc.?
  • Purposefully tweeting pics of PHCs which have been shut down since years in remote peripheries and flashing them as the generalised state of hospitals in my state. Pathetic. Below the belt.
  • His deathly silence on the anti-national statements that his peers issue every now and then.
  • A simple analysis of tweets of HH since 1st December, 2013. Why shouldn't I call his party B-team of Congress?
    Source: https://www.facebook.com/Indiaco...
  • The use-and-throw mentality. He used Anna. He used Kiran Bedi. He used IAC platform. He used the honest activists from all over India to start his political career and ultimately used Delhi's janta as a stepping stone to LS elections. Incredible!
  • The Batman vigilante that some of his awesome supporters consider him and his associates to be, only adds to the unbearable irritation. I repeat*awesome* because:
  • This is how he slyly shifted his goalposts over all these years:

Anti corruption ---> Anti Congress ---> Anti (all political parties including INC and BJP) ---> Anti Congress-BJP ---> Anti BJP ---> And now he bared his fangs.
Somehow this gives me an impression that as if Modi was ruling the country and is responsible for the mess created in the last 10 years.
  • When faced with tough questions, clueless supporters have only one thing to utter, "Atleast he is doing something. What have you done?"
  • And THIS.
  • But in the end, everything is forgiven. Why? Because:
  1. At least AK Sir is doing something!
  2. "सर, मैं तो बहुत छोटा आदमी हूँ जी"
  3. "मेरी तो क्या औकात है!?"

P.S. I am aware of the fact that it is a parody account. That's the whole point. In case of any doubt, look here: http://www.quora.com/Who-is-the-...

EDIT: Here, there is a detailed and accurate analysis of AK's government in Delhi. Please have a look and upvote: Sandhya Ramesh's answer to Arvind Kejriwal's Resignation (14 Feb 2014): What are possible reasons for Arvind Kejriwal resignation as Chief Minister?

Why will Arvind Kejriwal be defeated by Narendra Modi in Varanasi?

Courtesy:- Zubair Khan on Quora (http://www.quora.com/Arvind-Kejriwal/Why-will-Arvind-Kejriwal-be-defeated-by-Narendra-Modi-in-Varanasi)
No, Arvind Kejriwal will not be able to defeat Narendra Modi in Varanasi
and rightly so.

Before we dive into the reasons as to why I say so, let's understand the federal structure of the Indian democracy...

Indian democracy has three parts:
1. Legislature (Lok Sabha/ Rajya Sabha / State Assemblies, etc)
2. Judiciary (All Courts - Supreme Court, High Court, etc)
3. Executive (All Govt machinery, Ministers, and other Govt offices under them)

India has three levels of governance:

1. Federal (Union Govt)
2. State Govt
3. Local Govt (Udaipur Municipal Corporation, village panchayats, etc)

All the levels of governance have all the three parts, legislature, judiciary and executive.

Now there is a difference in a MP and a MLA. MP is a Member of Parliament (which could be Lok Sabha or Rajya Sabha ). So, yes you are right that MP is bigger in the sense that they represent a larger constituency and form part of the Union Govt legislature.

MLA on the other hand is a member of state legislature (Vidhan Sabha). You would have also heard MLC, they are the same too. They are members of state legislature - Legislative Council (Vidan Parishad).

So as MLA represents a smaller constituency in the State Government system, they are lesser in stature than the MPs.

So while I agree that the Varanasi loksabha seat is held with BJP since 1991, the top voted anon is completely wrong when he blames the MP from Varanasi for all the misery of the city as it is the state government, the MLAs and the local municipality which has a far greater role to play when it comes to the roads, sanitation and other things in the city.

So evidently, MP's can't be entirely blamed/credited for the developmental works happening in and around a city... and this is true for all the cities.

Having said that, it is worth noting that out of 23 years that BJP MP had his government for 7 years... while he sat in the opposition for 16 years.

Now I'm assuming that you all know the credentials of SP and BSP who have been in the power for about 12+ years which also sufficiently explains the state of the city.

Why voting for Modi's BJP might prove to be a turning point for the Varanasians in 2014-

Here are few simple reasons :-

1. They'll vote for Modi and not the BJP.
(It is the candidate that matters, not the party)

2. Modi's contribution as MLA and as a CM in Gujarat :

Modi is a MLA in Gujarat govt. from Maninagar, Ahemdabad.

Here are some snaps of the Ahemdabad and his projects.

3. Given his past record on development and issue addressing, who wouldn't want Modi as a MP from his place?

Kejriwal has hardly anything to put up against Mr. Modi in his brief tenure of 49 days except promises.

4. Add to all this his "Hindutva" image will appeal to the large Hindu population of Varanasi.

Hence I don't think Kejriwal stands any chance against Mr. Modi and rightly so.
